Serra de Tramuntana, as Protected Natural Park, requires written authorization from the Local Government for some sports activities, including free flight (paragliding, hang gliding and para-motoring).

In order to comply with current regulations, the corresponding authorization must be requested following “Autorizaciones” indications to the web of Conselleria.

Mallorca is undoubtedly a great place for practicing free flight, with great possibilities, but where it is not easy to achieve long distance nor spectacular height. The landscape pays off, though. Takeoffs are usually small and stony, making it difficult to take off in the absence of wind and generally requiring reverse launching technique.
